Massage Therapy

SweetLeaf Wellness Center offers a variety of massage modalities provided by board certified massage therapists.

Swedish massage utilizes flowing, relaxing strokes and is primarily for stress relief. RECOMMENDED THERAPISTS: Mei, Kelli, Jennifer or Amit.

Deep tissue massage is great for working out chronic structural issues and pain. RECOMMENDED THERAPISTS: Mei, Jennifer or Amit.

Sports massage relies on stretching techniques to free up muscles and tendons to provide a greater range of motion for athletes. RECOMMENDED THERAPISTS: Mei or Jennifer.

Neuromuscular therapy is similar to sports and deep tissue massages in that it works specifically with the muscles’ feedback system to the brain, aiding in opening up muscles with inhibited range of motion. RECOMMENDED THERAPISTS: Mei or Jennifer.

Mobile Massage is a massage performed in the comfort of your own home. Our therapist will travel to your home, within the Denver area, and perform a one-hour massage on his portable massage table. Our mobile massage therapist specializes in deep tissue, sports massage, and what he calls the “What you need” massage. RECOMMENDED THERAPIST: Brandon.

Medicated Massage is either a Swedish or Deep Tissue massage utilizing medicated coconut oil to provide absolutely amazing relief of sore muscles. One patient claims their back has never felt more relaxed. ONLY FOR MMJ PATIENTS. RECOMMENDED THERAPISTS: Jennifer or Kelli.

Massage is the only healthcare practice, or medicine if you will, found in use by every culture on earth. Touch is vital to humans. In studies done with premature babies, they’ve shown to have a higher chance of survival when they’re touched. As we age, the need to be touched does not decrease. The amount we’re touched, sometimes, does decrease. Massage is a wonderful way to incorporate touch into your life in a new and healing way.

Massage increases circulation in the body. Moving blood and oxygen allows healing to take place. As a result, massage helps to detoxify and regenerate. It also allows the parasympathetic nervous system to activate, thus de-stressing the body as a whole.

Massage can ease tired, sore muscles and work out knots and trigger points, freeing up the musculoskeletal system. This allows circulation, oxygen and prana (or chi) to move through you, unencumbered. Massage also provides the receiver of the massage a deeper sense of body awareness and empowerment.
